What is Genius Hour?

Canberra

Year 5 recently went to Canberra as a part of our Government unit of work. It was a wonderful time for the students to experience our capital city and see some of the interesting attractions in the city. I think one of the highlights of the trip, at least for 5E, was seeing Tony Abbott in the House of Representative chamber. We all agreed we would have liked more time in Canberra to explore the rest of the attractions.

3D Drawings

We have been experimenting with 3D drawings. This is our first attempt.

Art

We have been learning about portraits in Art. In these pictures we had to cut a picture of our faces in half and draw the other half.

Science

 

 

 

5E have been looking at film making and communication. To practise our filming and editing techniques we wrote, filmed and edited a short film. Below are a few examples of our work.
